Squirrel Chase (“the App”) is designed to collect no personal information from users.
1. Information Collection and Third-Party Integration
BFDNA Labs LLC has engineered "Squirrel Chase" to operate with maximum privacy regarding first-party data. We do not require account creation, and we do not transmit, collect, or store your personal information on our proprietary servers. All location-based gameplay processing occurs entirely locally on your hardware.
However, to keep the application free for users, we integrate third-party advertising services, specifically the Google AdMob SDK. While we do not collect data directly, our advertising partners automatically collect certain device-level information from your application to serve advertisements, prevent fraud, and measure ad performance. This automatically collected data includes:
- Device Identifiers (such as the Apple Advertising Identifier / IDFA).
- IP Addresses (which may be used to infer coarse, city-level geography).
- Usage and Performance Data (such as app launch times, ad views, and crash logs).
2. California Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA)
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), California residents are afforded specific rights regarding their personal information. While BFDNA Labs LLC does not collect or store your data on our servers, the integration of third-party advertising networks (Google AdMob) constitutes the "collection," "sharing," and potentially the "sale" of personal information (specifically, device identifiers and IP addresses for cross-context behavioral advertising) as defined by California law.
Categories of Personal Information Collected and Shared in the Preceding 12 Months: Identifiers (Device ID, IP address), Internet or other electronic network activity information (ad interaction data), and Geolocation data (coarse location inferred from IP).
Right to Opt-Out of Sale and Sharing: You have the right to direct us not to sell or share your personal information. Because our data sharing occurs exclusively via device-level advertising tracking, you can exercise this right through your device settings. On iOS devices, you may decline the App Tracking Transparency prompt upon launching the app, or navigate to Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking, and disable tracking for "Squirrel Chase." Additionally, our application processes opt-out preference signals (such as the Global Privacy Control) where technically feasible via our advertising partners.
Because we do not store first-party data profiles, requests for the "Right to Know" or "Right to Delete" will yield no proprietary records, but we will confirm this status upon receiving a verifiable consumer request.
If our practices change in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide appropriate notices.
3. Children’s Privacy and Age Restrictions
We are committed to protecting the privacy of children. While "Squirrel Chase" is designed for a general audience, we implement a neutral age-screening mechanism upon initial application launch to comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
If a user identifies themselves as under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in their jurisdiction), we do not collect personal information. Instead, we configure our advertising partner (Google AdMob) to apply age-restricted data processing via specific technical tags. Under this setting, the advertising identifier (IDFA) is not accessed, targeted behavioral advertising is entirely disabled, and only non-personalized, contextual advertisements are displayed. We do not knowingly collect, use, or share persistent identifiers from children under 13 for behavioral tracking.
4. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
